Marlborough

Marlborough is at the north-eastern tip of the South Island. It’s New Zealand largest winegrowing region. Visit the vineyards with a guided tour or via bicycle. Explore the Marlborough Sounds with a cruise, via kayak or walking. The most popular walk in the area is the 70km long Queen Charlotte Track, which starts at Ship Cove, Captain Cook’s favourite NZ landing site. From Picton you can take a ferry which takes you through the sounds to the North Island.
