Fusee Rouge Cafe

Head to the front of the Cromwell Mall and we are next to Alex Campbell Menswear. Plenty of free parking right opposite. Everybody is asking about the our name of the cafe. Fusee (Foozay) Rouge (Rooj). It’s a real long story but the founder of the cafe (Glennys Logan, now a local wedding celebrant) used to run around town in a red coat and was known as the “red rocket” and so the name of her new cafe was born and, well it has just kinda stuck. Pronounced Foo-zay Rooj means Red Rocket in French. Way back when, the cafe used to be a furniture shop called Easy Living. Glennys took a punt on Cromwell (a big deal back then), fitted out the cafe from scratch and started the first espresso cafe here. From it’s early beginnings as the only place in town there are now loads of other places to get coffee but Fusee is where the locals like to hang out, listen to cool tunes, get the best daily coffee fix available in town (shout out to our friends at Supreme Coffee) and get a damn good feed. Come visit and join our tribe.
